At the end of the “Cherry Cheese Pie” video the band is
seen playing various food related items as percussion instruments 
and some
people have asked whether we actually used those implements on the recording.
The answer is a resounding...YES!
Being a song all about food we thought it would be appropriate to use kitchen items in place of traditional percussion instruments so Jennifer “plays” a cheese grater by scraping some ice tongs against the side, Scott clinks two spatulas together and Randy is shaking a can of Pringles. (Something he actually did at home when he was practicing a percussion part and didn’t have a real shaker handy. That was the inspiration that led to the unique sound at the end of the song.)
And yes, Scott did actually search for the “right” spatulas that had the “musical resonance” he was looking for and tried them out in the store by banging them together!
Sometimes the legend is true and sometimes it's just a good story.
